Loosen the bolts securing the propeller shaft to the secondary shaft flange of the gearbox.
Remove the intermediate support cross member of the propeller shaft and disconnect the propeller shaft from the gearbox.
Support the engine in the area between the front axle cross member and the oil pan.
Remove the gear shift lever.
Loosen the gearbox support mounting nuts and remove the gearbox suspension crossmember.
Disconnect the speedometer drive flexible shaft and the reverse light switch wire.
Remove the clutch release slave cylinder.
Loosen the bolts securing the gearbox to the clutch housing and remove the gearbox.
Install the gearbox in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- using the clutch slave cylinder, set the clutch release fork to the installation position;
- place the clutch release bearing in the working position;
- lubricate the guide bushing and the groove of the clutch release bearing;
- before installing the gearbox, engage one of the forward gears;
- carefully insert the guide sleeve into the clutch release bearing;
- turn the gearbox secondary shaft flange so that the primary shaft enters the clutch driven disc;
- remove the clutch slave cylinder again;
- screw in and tighten the gearbox mounting bolts;
- when installing the intermediate support cross member of the cardan shaft, ensure pre-tension by moving it forward by 2 mm (in the direction of the vehicle's movement);
- to prevent stress on the clutch, turn the nuts, not the bolt heads, when tightening the bolts.
