Disconnect the wires from the reverse light switch.
Unscrew bolt 2 (see photo).
Remove the clutch slave cylinder without disconnecting the hydraulic lines.
Disconnect the gearbox from the clutch housing and remove it towards the rear of the vehicle.
The gearbox is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- using the clutch slave cylinder, move the clutch release fork to the installation position. Install the clutch release bearing;
- engage one of the gears and carefully insert the gearbox guide sleeve into the clutch release bearing;
- turn the gearbox secondary shaft flange so that the splined end of the primary shaft fits into the splines of the clutch driven disc;
- tighten the gearbox mounting bolts after removing the clutch slave cylinder;
- create a preload of 2 mm towards the front of the vehicle on the center mount of the gearbox;
- to prevent stress in the flexible coupling of the cardan shaft, when tightening the bolts, do not turn the bolts, but only their nuts. If necessary, press the flexible coupling upwards to align the holes for installing the bolts. Reusing self-locking nuts is not allowed.
