Holding the flange of the output shaft from turning with the clamp 23.1.150, unscrew the collared nut with the socket wrench 23.1.210.
Press the flange from the output shaft with a puller 33.1.150.
Engage third gear.
Knock out pins 2 and 3 (see photo) from the gearshift forks and pin 1 from the gear selection rod leash.
Remove the stem 4 of the fork for switching IV and V gears.
Turn the leash 5 up and remove it from the gear selection rod.
Remove the stem 6 of the shift fork of II and III gears.
Warning. This releases the retaining pins.
Remove the five hexagon socket head cap screws located around the transmission output shaft.
Disconnect the transaxle intermediate housing from the rear cover.
Heat the rear cover of the gearbox housing in the area where the ball bearings are installed.
Disconnect the intermediate gearbox housing from the rear cover together with the primary, secondary and intermediate shafts, the gear selection rod.
Clamp the intermediate case in a vise, being careful not to damage the mating surfaces.
Pull the gear selector rod back while removing the blocking crackers.
Remove the shift forks II and III, IV and V gears.
Press the speedometer drive gear, thrust washer, ball bearing, support ring, and reverse gear off the output shaft using a Kukko double-lever puller or similar.
Save the adjusting rings.
Knock out pin 7 (see photo) from the 1st gear and reverse fork.
Remove the split thrust ring of the 1st gear gear.
Remove the 1st gear and reverse shift fork rod together with the sliding clutch, synchronizer blocking ring, 1st gear gear and needle bearing from the output shaft. Simultaneously remove cam 9 (see photo) from the fork stem.
Remove the two hexagon socket head screws located on both sides of the output shaft and remove the locks.
Heat the lantern housing in the area of the ball bearing press-in to approx. 80°C.
At the same time, press out or knock out the secondary and intermediate shafts.
Disassemble the gear assembly in the following order: input shaft, synchronizer block, needle bearing, circlip, and thrust washer.
Press the sliding clutch and synchronizer blocking ring, IV gear gear, needle bearing from the input shaft.
Press the shoulder sleeve, bearing, 2nd gear gear, synchronizer sliding sleeve and 3rd gear from the output shaft.
Check the condition of the synchronizer.
