The brake light switch should be checked and adjusted if necessary after replacing or removing the master cylinder or vacuum booster.
The switch is located on the bracket at the top of the brake pedal. It turns on the brake light every time you press the pedal.

1. With the brake pedal in the non-operating position, measure the distance between the contact point of the switch with the brake pedal and the switch body, then compare the obtained value with the dimension A given in Table of sizes and adjustment data at the end of the Manual. To adjust the brake light switch, loosen the lock nuts (1) and screw the switch (2) in or out until the required distance A is achieved.
2. If the measurement you obtained does not match the specified one, disconnect the wiring from the switch. Loosen the locknuts, then screw or unscrew the switch until it matches the desired value and tighten the locknuts. Reconnect the wiring and check the operation of the switch.
