Annually or every 20,000 km.
To ensure proper operation of the throttle linkage, it should be periodically inspected and lubricated.
1. Check the drive rod to ensure it is not twisted.
2. Check the tie rod joints for looseness and its connections for signs of corrosion or damage. Replace damaged parts if necessary.
3. Check and lubricate the throttle linkage at the points shown in the picture - shown for an engine equipped with a fuel injection system
4. Lubricate the tie rod connections with spray lubricant or lithium based grease.
