Removal and installation indicators and speedometer (BMW 5 Series E34)
Removal
Remove the instrument panel.
Remove the daily mileage reset knobs and the check control button from the front side of the instrument panel.

Unscrew the "arrow" screws and fold up the half of the case with the electronic printed circuit board.
Note: In the extended equipment version, there are knurled screws in places 1. To unscrew, turn the knurled screws to the left by 90°. When separating the housing halves, do not allow the LCD module to fall out. Spacer rings are installed on the lower screws.

Carefully pull the instruments upward. First unscrew the two "arrow" screws on the speedometer.
Installation
Insert the speedometer into the housing and screw it on.
Screw the board into the case.
Put on the daily mileage reset and check control handles.
Install the instrument panel.
Check the functioning of the devices.
