If the receiver has a sliding mount, it allows for quick removal and installation of the radio. However, this is only done with a special tool that is supplied with the radio or is available for sale. Whether the radio has a quick-release mount is usually visible by 2 or 4 holes on the front panel. Depending on the installed audio system, an additional amplifier is installed behind the left trim of the luggage compartment.
Removal
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
