Removal and installation the clutch slave cylinder (BMW 5 Series E34)
Removal
Pump out the brake fluid from the expansion tank to the level of the filler hose.
Warning: Brake fluid is poisonous. Do not suck out the fluid with your mouth through the hose.
Raise the car.

Unscrew slave cylinder 1 from the gearbox.
Unscrew tube 2.
Note: If the slave cylinder is not replaced, the tube remains screwed on.
Installation
Lubricate the actuator cylinder pressure rod with Molykote Longtherm 2 paste.
Tighten the tube to the cylinder with a tightening torque of 15 Nm. Place the slave cylinder on the gearbox and tighten the bolts with a torque of 25 Nm. The air bleed bolt should be facing downwards.
Fill with brake fluid, remove air from the hydraulic clutch drive.
