After replacing the sensors, it is necessary to initialize them, which will require a diagnostic scanner.
Since 09.1998, the speed sensor also functions as a lateral acceleration sensor.
1. Remove the driver's seat, left lower door pillar trim panel and front door sill inner trim panel (see chapter Body).
2. Lift the underbody trim panel (1) and set it aside. Disconnect the connector (2/1), unscrew the bolts (3/2) and remove the lateral acceleration/speed sensor (3).
3. On models before 09.1998, to remove the speed sensor, remove its casing.
4. Disconnect the connector (1), unscrew the bolts (2) and remove the speed sensor.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
