Running in a car (BMW 7 Series E38)

            0

During the first 2000 km of a new vehicle, it is recommended to follow the recommendations below:
  • Avoid prolonged movement at a constant speed, whether high or low;
  • Do not accelerate the vehicle with the gas pedal fully depressed in any gear;
  • Don't move off too abruptly;
  • Try to avoid emergency braking;
  • Do not drive at speeds above 170 km/h or at speeds above 4500 rpm;

Due to the manufacturing technology of the tyres, their operating parameters are only achieved after approximately 300 km of running, so the car should be driven with particular caution until this point.

It takes approximately 500 km of driving to bed in the brake pads and discs.
