Engines and transmission

Operation of the vehicle after purchase or repair of its main components (engine, gearbox, rear axle reducer) it is necessary to start with a break-in period during the first 2,000 km of mileage. In this case, the engine shaft rotation frequency (RPM) and the vehicle speed should not be higher than the values given below:
  • cars with gasoline engines:
    • 6-cylinder: 4500 min⁻¹, 160 km/h;
    • 8-cylinder: 4500 min⁻¹, 170 km/h.
  • diesel vehicles: 3500 min⁻¹, 150 km/h.

It is necessary to avoid full power and maximum acceleration modes. After a run of 2,000 km, you can gradually increase the speed and engine speed.

New tires achieve optimal road grip only after a mileage of about 300 km, and new brake discs and pads achieve maximum braking efficiency after a mileage of 500 km.
