Models with M60 engine
1. Remove the intake manifold (see chapter Engine).
2. Remove the engine crankcase guard.
3. Drain the coolant (see chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).

4. Disconnect the remote temperature gauge (1) and ECM temperature sensor (2, white) connectors. Disconnect the ground wire (3), common to all coils, in the area of the rear lifting eye (4) of the engine.
5. To facilitate access to the cooling system manifold, remove the water valve.

6. Disconnect all cooling system pipes from the manifold.

7. Unscrew the manifold mounting bolts and remove it.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Clean the mating surfaces, replace the gaskets and sealing rings.
Models with M73 engine
1. Remove both cylinder head covers.
2. Remove the engine crankcase guard.
3. Remove the heat shields from the left side of the front axle beam.
4. Unscrew the coolant drain plugs on the left side of the cylinder block. Drain the coolant (see chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
