Ignition coil (M54 engine) (BMW X3 E83)

Removal and installation the ignition coil (m54 engine)

1. Read fault codes from the DME ECU memory (digital electronic engine management system).

2. Turn off the ignition.

3. Remove the ignition coil housing.



4. Unlock and disconnect the ignition coil connector (1).

5. Remove the ignition coil (1) by moving it upwards.

Note: This sequence is valid for all coils.

Note: When installing, it is necessary to check the position of the ignition coil rubber seal (1).

6. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.

Note:

• Read information from the DME ECU fault memory.
• Erase information in the fault memory.
