Removal and installation the generator
1. Read fault codes from the DME ECU memory (digital electronic engine management system).
2. Turn off the ignition.
Note: Follow the procedure for disconnecting and connecting the battery.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable and cover the terminal.
4. Remove the air filter housing.
5. Remove the generator drive belt.
6. Unlock and disconnect the connector (3).
7. Unscrew the nut (4) and disconnect the positive battery cable.
Tightening torque:
- Contact D+: 5 Nm - 7 Nm.
- Contact B+: 8 -13 Nm.
8. Unscrew the bolts and remove the generator (2).
9. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
Note:
- Check the recorded fault codes.
- Clear fault codes.
