Removal and installation the alternator drive belt
1. Remove the fan shroud.
2. Remove the air conditioning compressor drive belt.
3. Check the drive belt for traces of coolant and oil and replace if necessary.
Caution: If the drive belt becomes contaminated with hydraulic fluid, it must be replaced.
Note: If the drive belt is to be reused, mark the direction of its rotation and install it in the same direction.
Caution: The belt tensioner is under spring pressure.
4. Press the drive belt tensioner (1) in the direction indicated by the arrow.
5. Remove the drive belt (2).
6. Assemble the engine.
