Remove the fan guide cover.
Remove the fan.
Disconnect the coolant outlet hoses.
Remove the bracket located behind the radiator inlet hose.
Loosen the tension on the alternator drive belt.
Remove the TDC sensor from the holder.
Remove the vibration damper from the hub.
Remove the toothed belt cover.
Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC. In this case, the arrow stamped on the camshaft pulley must match the mark on the cylinder head, and the mark on the crankshaft hub must match the mark on the thrust flange of the vibration damper.
Mark the direction of rotation on the toothed belt.
Loosen the idler pulley mounting bolts and slide it towards the engine.
Tighten the idler pulley lock bolt in this position.
Remove the toothed belt. After that, do not turn the crankshaft and camshafts of the engine.
Tighten the hinge bolts and the bolts of the toothed belt tensioner pulley.
Once again, check the marks for the correct position of the crankshaft and camshaft.
Adjust ignition timing.
Remove the ignition distributor cover and make sure that the rev limiter mark is against the mark on the distributor housing.
Check that the toothed belt has no external damage. Otherwise, replace it.
Slide the toothed belt first onto the crankshaft sprocket and then sequentially onto all the other pulleys in the direction of crankshaft rotation.
Loosen the idler pulley lock bolt.
Turn the engine crankshaft 1-2 turns counterclockwise with a ratchet and a 1/2 drive square", inserted into the end of the camshaft in order to tension the timing belt. In this case, the spark plugs must be turned out.
