Depending on the version, the diagnostic connector for connecting the test equipment can be located in the engine compartment or in the driver's footwell. The operation of the ECU-KSUD of the "DME" system must be checked in the following order. Connect "MoDic" and "BMW-DIS" to the diagnostic loop. Request the DME system fault memory for faults.
Write down the reported fault codes. Carry out further actions in accordance with the Troubleshooting Instructions for the BMW-DIS or MoDiC system.
