Withdrawal
Place the vehicle on a lift or inspection ditch.
Remove the bracket for attaching the exhaust pipe mufflers to the gearbox.
Remove the muffler intake pipe.
Install the 261012 tie strap on the flexible coupling and loosen the nuts of the flexible coupling flange bolts.
Tighten the clamp and manually unscrew the bolts securing the flexible coupling flange, then remove the clamp.
Disconnect the rear propeller shaft from the final drive gear flange.
Detach the intermediate support cross member from the body floor.
Lower and remove cardan gear.
Installation
Install the cardan gear in place and tighten the bolts securing the intermediate support cross member to the floor of the body, providing a preload of the intermediate support of approximately 2 mm towards the front of the vehicle.
Attach the rear propeller shaft to the drive gear flange (every time you remove the driveline, replace the nuts of the mounting bolts).
Fit the tie strap 261012 to the flexible sleeve and tighten the tie.
Tighten the flexible coupling flange mounting bolts, then tighten the nuts (new) bolts (do not tighten this threaded connection by the bolts).
Remove the clamp.
Install the exhaust pipe mufflers, after replacing the gasket.
Establish an arm of fastening of a reception pipe of mufflers to a transmission.
If there is noise or vibration of the driveline while driving, check the alignment of the driveshaft using template 261000 or a tool that you can make yourself.
If the cardan shaft is out of alignment, adjust its position by moving the intermediate support, taking into account the preload of 2 mm and placing washers with a total thickness of not more than 3 mm on each bolt of the intermediate support cross member to the body floor.
