Removal and installation the light switch (BMW 3 Series E30)

Removal

Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

Remove the lower instrument panel trim (see section "Removal and installation the center console and shelf under the dashboard").



Remove button "1" of the light switch.

Squeeze the clamps "4" at the bottom of the switch and pull out the light switch.

Press the latches "2" on the bottom of the switch and disconnect the connector "3".

Installation

Insert and snap the connector into the switch.

Insert from below into the dashboard and snap the light switch into place.

Place the button on the light switch.

Install the lower instrument panel trim (see section "Removal and installation the center console and shelf under the dashboard").

Connect the ground wire to the battery.

Check the operation of the light switch.
