Removal and installation the antenna (BMW 3 Series E30)

Removal

Automatic antenna

Pull out the jack.

Remove the rear light trim (see section "Removal and installation rear lights").

First pull up and then remove the side trim in the luggage compartment.



Loosen the antenna bracket bolts.

Pull out the antenna cable, disconnect the plug connection and ground wire "1".

Pull the folded antenna downwards.

Note: If the antenna is secured with a union nut, unscrew the nut with an antenna key. If you do not have a special antenna key, unscrew the union nut with a suitable screwdriver.

Installation

If the antenna is stuck, insert adapter "1" and use soap to ensure normal sliding.

Insert the antenna from below.



When fastening the antenna with a union nut, install the cutting and sealing rings in accordance with Figure W-5822 and insert the antenna from below.



Install the sealing gasket and adapter. Lightly tighten the nut.

Connect the antenna cable, connector and ground wire.

Screw on the antenna bracket.

Insert the trim into the luggage compartment.

Install the rear light trim (see section "Removal and installation rear lights").

Put the jack back in place.

Drilling a hole for the antenna

Mark and drill a hole for the antenna on the left rear wing according to the dimensions. Size A - 50 mm, size B - 25 mm.
