Examination

Examination

Disconnect the throttle switch connector.

Connect an ohmmeter to the throttle switch contacts "2" and "18". Specified value: 0 Ohm.

Give the throttle lever a little gas. You should hear the switch click and the resistance should change to infinity.

Connect an ohmmeter to the throttle switch contacts "3" and "18". Specified value: 0 Ohm.

Give the throttle lever full throttle. You should hear the switch click and the resistance should drop to zero.

Adjustment

Loosen the mounting screws (arrows) without turning them.

Turn the switch so that when the throttle valve is closed, the resistance is about 0 ohms.

With a small opening of the throttle valve, the resistance should change to infinity.

When released, the resistance value should drop back to 0 Ohm.

Replacement

Disconnect the three-pin connector.

Loosen the mounting screws (arrows) and remove the switch from the throttle shaft.

Place the throttle switch on the axle, adjust it and tighten the screws.
