Removing the fuel filter for a diesel engine is described in Section Checking the fuel system, replacing the fuel filter. Operation of a diesel model in winter conditions.
Withdrawal
The operation of lifting and placing the vehicle on stands is dangerous! Therefore, before carrying out the operation, read Section Jacking and towing
1. Raise and place the vehicle on stands.
Do not use open flames near the workplace, do not smoke or hold any objects that are very hot. There is a danger of an accident! Keep a fire extinguisher ready.
Keep the workplace well ventilated. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
The fuel system is under pressure. When the system is opened, fuel can escape under pressure. Collect the fuel with a rag. Wear protective goggles.
2. Place a suitable container -4- under the fuel filter to collect the escaping fuel. The fuel filter is located at the height of the manual transmission beam on the bottom of the car.
3. Clamp the fuel hoses at point -1- using appropriate clamps, eg HAZET 4590.
4. Place a thick rag and open the clamps -2-.
5. Carefully disconnect both hoses from the filter.
6. Remove the screw from the holder, remove the filter and drain the fuel into a container.
7. Slowly open the clamps and catch any escaping fuel.
8. Disconnect collars -5- and remove hoses from fuel pipelines. They need to be replaced.
Installation

10. Attach the filter to the holder.
11. Attach new hoses and secure with new clamps.
12. Press the starter until the engine starts. This should fill the fuel filter.
