Windscreen wiper motor



Brand and type: Bosch DHP 0 390 341 061.

Nominal voltage, V: 12.

Test voltage, V: 13.

Since the 1978 model year, a Bosch brand windshield wiper motor, part number 0 390 341 078, was installed with the following characteristics:
  • operating voltage, V: 10-15;
  • control voltage, V: 13±0.2.

Headlights



Headlights of the Hella or Bosch brand, consisting of two round optical elements of low and high beam with halogen lamps of the H1 SSW type. A 4 W parking light lamp is built into the low beam optical element.

Fuses and fuses



The fuses are located in a mounting block installed in the engine compartment on the left wheel mudguard. The transparent cover of the block indicates the protected targets and the current strength of the fuses. The total number of fuses is 14. There are four spare fuses of 5, 8, 16 and 25 A.

Since model year 1977 on BMW "525", "528" and the "528i" was equipped with a 17-fuse block.

* On vehicles with an electric sunroof, fuse No.13 is installed at 25 A.



Fuse slot #1 is a spare.

Colour coding of fuse insulator:
  • 8A: black or white;
  • 16 A: red;
  • 25 A: blue.

The cars were equipped with four spare fuses: two 8 A, one 16 A and one 25 A.

Since the 1977 model year, 15-watt interior light bulbs and 10-watt tail light bulbs have been used.

Since the 1980 model year, 5-watt rear side light bulbs, a 10-watt interior light bulb, 3-watt instrument lighting bulbs, and 55-watt fog light bulbs have been installed.

Electrical diagrams



Since the 1977 model year, the following electrical diagrams have been changed:
  • ignition circuit diagram;
  • general electrical circuit diagram of cars of models "525", "525A", "528", "528A" and "528iA";
  • wiring diagram for headlight washer motor.

Tightening torques of main threaded connections, kgf·m


  • Oil pressure warning light sensor: 5.0.
  • Brake light switch lock nut: 0.3-0.4.
  • Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor: 3.0.
  • Temperature sensor on the cooling system radiator: 3.2.
  • Reverse light switch: 0.6-1.0.
