Checking the pneumatic drive of the throttle valve of the 2nd chamber (BMW 5 Series E12)

Make sure there are no foreign particles in the vacuum take-off pipe on the carburetor and the condition of the vacuum hose connecting the carburetor to the thermostatic valve.

Connect a hand vacuum pump to the hose from the thermostatic valve to the pneumatic drive of the 2nd chamber throttle valve and create a pressure of about 300 mbar in the pneumatic drive. If the pressure drops, replace the pneumatic drive.
