Remove the wheel trim.
Mark with paint the position of the rims on the rear wheel hubs. Thanks to this, the subsequently balanced wheel is set to the same position.
Loosen the wheel bolts of the corresponding rear wheel. In this case, the car must still be on the ground.
Raise the rear of the car and remove the wheel.
Unplug connector for wear indicator -arrow- at brake caliper on right wheel, but do not pull on cable.
Loosen the brake caliper mounting bolts 8 with a 17 mm spanner and remove the caliper together with the installed brake pads from the brake disc.
Hang the brake caliper to the body on a homemade wire hook. Do not tighten the brake hose while doing this.
If complete removal of the brake caliper or removal of the brake hose from the brake caliper is required, unscrew the brake hose -arrow- while holding the hexagon on the hose with a wrench. In other cases, the brake hose may not turn off.
Caution: Collect leaking brake fluid in a bottle intended exclusively for brake fluid. You can also suck the brake fluid out of the expansion tank.
Installation
Position the brake caliper with the brake pads inserted onto the brake disc.
Tighten the brake caliper mounting bolts 1 with a 17 mm ring wrench to a tightening torque of 85 Nm.
If the brake hose was removed, wrap it at the connection to the brake circuit. Remove air from the brake system.
On the right side of the vehicle, connect the wear sensor connector and secure it to the strut.
Install the rear wheel, observing the marked position of the disk on the hub. Lower vehicle and cross-tighten wheel bolts to 110 Nm.
Caution: With the vehicle stationary, depress the brake pedal several times until a hard resistance appears. In this case, the brake pads approach the brake discs and take their working position.
