Removal

Remove the decorative wheel cap.

Mark the position of the wheel rims on the rear wheel hubs with paint. This will ensure that the balanced wheel is subsequently installed in the same position.

Loosen the wheel bolts of the corresponding rear wheel. The vehicle must still be on the ground.

Raise the rear of the car and remove the wheel.

Caution: Do not swap the pads from the inside to the outside and vice versa, or from the right wheel to the left and vice versa. Swapping may cause uneven braking. Always replace all rear brake pads at the same time, even if only one pad has reached the wear limit. When reinstalling brake pads, they must be marked when removed.

If the brake caliper needs to be completely removed or the brake hose needs to be removed from it, unscrew the brake hose (arrow) while holding the hose hexagon with a wrench. Otherwise, the brake hose may not unscrew.

Caution: Collect leaking brake fluid in a bottle intended exclusively for brake fluid. You can also suck out the brake fluid from the expansion tank.

Installation

If the brake hose was removed, screw it into the brake caliper.

Place the brake caliper with the brake pads inserted onto the brake disc.

Tighten the mounting bolts "1" of the brake caliper using a 17 mm open-end wrench with a tightening torque of 70 Nm.

If the brake hose was removed, tighten it at the point where it connects to the brake circuit. Remove air from the brake system.

On the right side of the vehicle, connect the wear sensor connector and secure it to the pillar.

Install the rear wheel observing the disc position marking on the hub. Lower the car and cross-tighten the wheel bolts to 110 Nm.

Install a decorative wheel cap.

Note: With the vehicle stationary, press the brake pedal several times until you feel stiff resistance. This will cause the brake pads to approach the brake discs and take their working position.
