Withdrawal
Remove the rear brake caliper without unscrewing the brake hose, otherwise you will have to bleed the air from the brakes after installation.
Hang the caliper on the wire on the body. Make sure that the brake hose is not stretched.
Loosen the mounting bolt with a 5mm hex wrench.
Fully release the parking brake.
Remove the brake caliper. If it does not come off, move the parking brake pads.
Installation
To ensure uniform braking on both sides, both brake discs must have the same wear pattern and wear depth. Therefore, both brake discs of the same axle must always be replaced or reground at the same time.
In the workshop, you can check the runout of the brake discs. The maximum runout of the installed disc should be 0.2 mm.
Measure the brake disc thickness.
Remove protective varnish from new brake discs with solvent or acetone.
Install the brake disc onto the rear wheel hub and secure with a hexagon socket head bolt. Before doing this, you need to rotate the disk so that the holes for the bolts match.
Install the caliper with the inserted brake pads. In this case, the brake hose must not be twisted or stretched.
Attention: If the brake hose has been removed, twist it and bleed the air from the brakes.
Adjust the parking brake.
Install the rear wheels according to the marks made during removal. Do not lubricate wheel bolts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel bolts crosswise to 100 Nm.
Caution: With the vehicle stationary, depress the brake pedal firmly several times until a strong resistance is felt. In this case, the brake pads will lie against the disc and take the appropriate working position.
Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and, if necessary, top up to the MAX mark.
Do a security check.
Gently lap in new brake discs in three steps.
- 1st stage - five braking from a speed of 50 km / h with a strong pedal pressure while driving on an empty road.
- Step 2 - Let the brakes cool down.
- Stage 3 - five of the same braking from a speed of 50 km / h.
