Caution: Brake hoses must not be exposed to engine oil or gasoline, and must not be painted or coated with a protective underbody coating.
Withdrawal
Mark the position of the front wheels on the hubs so that you can then reinstall the balanced wheels in their original positions. Loosen and support the vehicle at the front and remove the front wheels.
Lightly depress the brake pedal and secure it in this position. To do this, insert a spacer between the pedal and the driver's seat. Move the seat forward or backward as needed. This will prevent the leakage of brake fluid from the reservoir after disconnecting the brake pipes and the ingress of air into the hydraulic brake system.
Remove the brake pipe union nut from the brake hose. At the same time, hold the brake hose by the flats or by the hexagon so that the connection does not turn in the mount.
Attention: Some brake fluid may spill out, which must be collected in a suitable container.
Unscrew the brake hose from the brake caliper.
Installation
Screw the brake hose onto the caliper.
Put the wheels in the straight ahead position.
Insert the brake hose into the holder and screw the union nut of the brake tube into it, securing the tube. At the same time, hold the brake hose by the flats or by the hexagon so that it does not turn in the connection. The tightening torque for nuts with M12 thread is 15 Nm, with M10 thread is 20 Nm.
Install the front wheels according to the marks made during removal. Do not lubricate wheel bolts. Tighten the wheel bolts.
After installation on an unloaded wheel (the car is raised) check that the brake hose follows all the movements of the wheel when cornering and that it does not rub against other parts.
Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel bolts crosswise to 100 Nm.
Turn the steering wheel to the left and right as far as it will go and, with the car standing on wheels, check whether the hose follows all wheel movements and does not rub against other parts.
Bleed air from the brakes.
