Do not allow brake hoses to come into contact with oil or gasoline, and do not cover with paint or underbody protection.
Withdrawal
1. Mark with paint the position of the front wheels relative to the hub. This will allow the assembly to install the balanced wheel in its original position. Loosen the wheel bolts with the vehicle on the ground. Raise the front of the car
2. Press the brake pedal and keep it in that position. To do this, you can insert a wooden block between the seat and the pedal. To do this, move the seat back and then forward again. Thus, the possibility of leakage of brake fluid from the reservoir after the hoses are disconnected and air enters the system is excluded.
3. Disconnect the brake line -1- by unscrewing the union nut -2- from the brake hose. While doing so, hold the brake hose -4- by the planes or by the hexagon -3- to prevent the connecting element from turning in the elbow.
This may cause some brake fluid to leak out. Collect the liquid in a bottle designed just for this.
4. Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
Installation
5. Attach the brake hose to the caliper.
6. Set the front wheels straight ahead.
7. Fix a brake hose in the holder and connect the brake pipeline a cap nut. At the same time, hold the brake hose by the planes or the hexagon to prevent rotation of the connecting element in the elbow. Tightening torque 18 Nm.
8. Install the front wheels so that the markings made during removal match. Pre-lubricate with a thin layer of bearing grease the landing belt of the wheel disk on the hub. Do not grease wheel bolts. Replace rusty bolts. Fasten the wheels with bolts.
9. After installation, with the wheel unloaded, check (the car is raised), whether the hose follows all the movements of the wheel when it is turned and whether it touches adjacent structural elements.
10. Lower the car on wheels and tighten bolts of fastening crosswise the moment of 100 Нм.
11. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and left and check with the car standing on wheels whether the hose follows all wheel movements without touching adjacent structural elements.
12. Remove air from the brake system.
- Are the brake lines secured?
- Is the brake hose secured in the holder?
- Are the bleed fittings tight?
- Has sufficient brake fluid been added?
- With the engine running, check for leaks. To do this, press the brake pedal with a force of 200-300 N (20-30 kg) within 10 s. The pedal must not loosen. Check all connections for tightness.
Brake fluid must never be spilled or disposed of with household waste. Local authorities inform drivers about the places of its possible disposal.
