Withdrawal
1. Remove the brake guide with caliper, refer to the relevant section. Do not disconnect the brake hose. Otherwise, after installation, air will have to be removed from the system.
2. Hang the brake guide/caliper bracket on the wire from the suspension. Make sure the hose is not kinked.
3. Remove the fastening screw (arrow illustration) socket wrench 5 mm.
4. Fully release the parking brake.
5. Remove the brake disc. If the disc is not removed, shift the parking brake pads back, refer to Section Removal and installation of parking brake pads.
Installation
In order to achieve uniform braking on both sides, both brake discs must have the same surfaces in terms of quality and roughness. Therefore, be sure to replace or grind both discs of the same axis.
At the service station, you can check the brake disc for runout, the permissible values \u200b\u200bare given in the Specifications.
6. Measure the thickness of the brake disc, refer to Section Measuring the thickness of the brake disc.
7. Clean the new brake discs with a nitro thinner to remove the protective film.
8. Install the brake disc on the hub and rotate so that the holes for the mounting screw match. Tighten the screw with a socket wrench to 16 Nm.
9. Reinstall the brake guide with caliper, refer to the appropriate section.
If the brake hose is disconnected, fix it and remove air from the system, refer to Section Removal of air from the brake system.
10. Adjust the parking brake, refer to Section Parking brake adjustment.
11. New brake discs should be carefully run in in three steps.
First take: five brakings from a speed of 50 km/h by strongly depressing the brake pedal on a road where there is no traffic.
Second take: Let the brakes cool down.
Third take: 5 more braking from a speed of 50 km / h.
