Withdrawal
If the brake caliper and caliper are only disconnected to remove the brake disc, do not disconnect the brake hose. Otherwise, air must be removed from the brake system after installation. Hang the caliper on a wire from the hanger so that the hose is not twisted or under tension.
1. Mark with paint the position of the rear wheels relative to the hub. This will allow the assembly to install the balanced wheel in its original position. Loosen the wheel bolts with the vehicle on the ground. Raise the rear of the car, put it on stands and remove the rear wheels.
2. Lightly press the brake pedal and hold it in that position. To do this, you can insert a wooden block between the seat and the pedal. To do this, move the seat back and then forward again. Thus, the possibility of leakage of brake fluid from the reservoir after the hoses are disconnected and air enters the system is excluded.
3. Disconnect a brake hose in a junction with the pipeline. To do this, unscrew the union nut from the coupling, holding the hose by the hexagon. Otherwise, it is impossible to disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
This may cause some brake fluid to leak out. Collect the escaping liquid in a container designed for this purpose only.
4. Remove the wear sensor cable from the right caliper. When doing this, pull on the plug, not on the cable.
5. Unscrew the bolts securing the brake guide to the steering knuckle with a 17 mm spanner and remove together with the caliper and installed brake pads from the steering knuckle. 1 - caps of the caliper mounting bolts.
Installation
6. Reinstall the brake caliper with caliper and pads and secure to the steering knuckle.
7. Tighten the bracket mounting bolts to 65 Nm.
8. Connect the brake pad wear sensor connector on the right side of the vehicle.
9. If the brake hose is disconnected from the caliper, connect it first to the caliper and then to the brake line.
10. Reinstall the rear wheels so that the markings made during removal match. Lubricate the seat of the wheel disk on the hub with a thin layer of bearing grease. Do not grease wheel bolts. Replace rusty bolts with new ones. Fasten the wheels with bolts. Lower the car on wheels and tighten bolts of fastening crosswise the moment of 100 Нм.
Press the brake pedal hard several times while standing until you feel resistance. Thus, the pads take their working position at the brake disc.
11. Check the fluid level in the reservoir, top up if necessary to the MAX mark.
- Are the brake lines secured?
- Is the brake hose secured in the holder?
- Are the bleed fittings tight?
- Has sufficient brake fluid been added?
- With the engine running, check for leaks. To do this, press the brake pedal with a force of 200 - 300 N (20 - 30 kg) within 10 s. The pedal must not loosen. Check all connections for tightness.
Brake fluid must never be spilled or disposed of with household waste. Local authorities inform drivers about the places of its possible disposal.
