Attention: If the brake caliper is removed only to remove the brake disc, then do not unscrew the brake hose, otherwise after installation it will be necessary to remove air from the brake system. The caliper must be hung on a wire so that the brake hose is not twisted or stretched.
Withdrawal
Mark the position of the rear wheels on the hubs so that the balanced wheels can then be reinstalled. Loosen the wheel bolts with the vehicle on the ground. Raise and support the vehicle at the rear and remove the rear wheels.
Lightly depress the brake pedal and hold it in this position. To do this, insert a spacer between the driver's seat and the brake pedal. Move the seat forward or backward as needed. This will prevent the leakage of brake fluid from the reservoir after disconnecting the brake pipes and the ingress of air into the hydraulic drive system.
Loosen the union nut of the brake pipe at the brake hose connection, while holding the brake hose by the hexagon.
Attention: Some brake fluid may spill out, which must be collected in a suitable container.
At the right brake caliper, disconnect the pad wear sensor wire. When doing this, pull on the plug, not on the wire.
Unscrew the caliper mounting bolts with a 17 mm spanner and remove the caliper from the brake disc together with the installed brake pads.
Installation
Install the caliper with pads on the brake disc.
Tighten the caliper mounting bolts to 65 Nm.
Connect the brake pad wear sensor plug on the right side of the vehicle.
Install the brake hose on the mount and fasten the brake pipe to it with the union nut. Care must be taken to ensure that the hose is not twisted. Insert the hose into the holder.
Bleed air from the brakes.
Install the rear wheels in accordance with the marks made earlier. Do not lubricate wheel bolts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts crosswise to 100 Nm.
Caution: With the vehicle stationary, depress the brake pedal firmly several times until a strong resistance is felt. In this case, the pads will lie against the brake disc and take the appropriate working position.
Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and, if necessary, top up to the MAX mark.
Do a security check.
