Caution: When working with brake pipes, care must be taken not to damage the protective plastic layer. Usually, brake pipes are supplied in lengths without union nuts. For brake pipes that need to be made, attention must be paid to the thread diameter of the union nuts. It is necessary to put the corresponding nut on the brake pipe and process the end of the pipe in a special device. It is necessary to use a device of a suitable design.
When bending, you need to take the old tube as a sample. To avoid flattening and bending, you need to use a special device for bending.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Lightly press the brake pedal and secure it in this position. To do this, insert a spacer between the brake pedal and the driver's seat. If necessary, move the seat forward or backward. This will prevent the brake fluid from leaking out of the reservoir after disconnecting the brake pipe and air from entering the brake hydraulic system.
Unscrew the union nuts and remove the brake pipes.
If necessary, plug the pipe connection towards the brake master cylinder.
Position the new brake pipe as similarly as the old one, if possible. Tighten the union nuts with M12 thread to 15 Nm, with M10 thread to 20 Nm.
Caution: Do not place brake pipes between electrical wires. This may cause chafing, which will damage the brake system or electrical equipment. The distance between brake pipes and electrical wires should be at least 25 mm.
Bleed the brakes. Perform a safety check.
