Attention: If the brake caliper needs to be removed only to dismantle the brake disc, then the brake hose must not be loosened, otherwise air will have to be bled from the brake system after assembly. Hang the brake caliper on the body using a hook made of wire, so that the brake hose is not twisted or stretched.
Withdrawal
Mark the position of the rear wheels in relation to the hubs with paint. This will allow the balanced wheel to return to its original position. When loosening the wheel bolts, the vehicle must be on its wheels. Raise the car from behind and remove the rear wheels.
The brake pad is easy to squeeze out and fix. To do this, insert a board between the carrion and the seat, moving the seat back and then forward respectively. This prevents fluid from leaking out of the expansion tank and air from entering the system after disconnecting the brake lines.
Unscrew union nut -2- of brake pipe -1- at connector -3- of brake hose. When doing this, hold the brake hose on the hexagon -4-. Normally, the brake hose -5- does not unscrew from the brake caliper.
Caution: Some brake fluid may leak out. Collect the brake fluid in a bottle that is only for brake fluid.
Disconnect the connector on the right disc brake caliper for the cable -arrow- of the sensor for the brake lining wear indicator. At the same time, pull on the plug, pull on the wire.
Loosen brake shield mounting bolts -2- with a 17 mm ring wrench. Remove the brake shield and caliper with installed brake linings from the brake disc. 1 - protective caps of the caliper mounting bolts.
Installation
Attach brake shield with caliper and installed brake linings.
Screw on the brake shield with screws and tighten to 65 Nm.
Connect the plug of the brake pad wear sensor on the right side of the vehicle.
Attach the brake hose to the coupling head and screw the brake pipe with the union nut. When doing this, ensure that the brake hose is not twisted. Attach the brake hose to the holder.
Remove air from brake system.
Screw on the rear wheels. Do not grease wheel bolts. Attach the wheels so that the marks made by removing the mark coincide. Lower vehicle, tighten wheel bolts crosswise to 100 Nm.
Caution: Depress the brake pedal strongly repeatedly until strong resistance is felt. In this case, the brake linings are adjacent to the discs and occupy a position that meets the operating conditions.
Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and, if necessary, top up to the MAX mark.
Attention. Carry out a safety test:
- Are the brake lines tight?
- Is the brake hose in the holder?
- Are the bleed valves tight?
- Is there enough fluid in the brake system?
- With the engine running, perform a leak test. To do this, act on the brake pedal with a force of 200 to 300 N for about 10 seconds (from 20 to 30 kg). Do not release the brake pedal. Check all connections for tightness.
Note: Brake fluid must be disposed of as special waste.
