Checking ignition and injection systems (BMW 5 Series E39)

Targeted search and elimination of all existing faults are performed using special branded devices. These devices are very expensive and, as a rule, are available only in a specialized workshop. For this reason, only a list of basic checks is given below.

Check voltages and condition charging the battery.

Weld all fuses.

Disconnect and connect the plug connectors of all relevant electronic systems. Check the reliability of the plug connections and the fastening of the wires in the engine compartment.

Check the reliability of all ground connections and the perfect condition of the contacts.

Check all hoses and pipelines for leaks. Pay attention to the absence of porosity, cracks and reliability of connections at the connectors.
