Withdrawal
Press wire clamps together and unplug connectors -1- and -2-.
Move the lever -3- of the throttle valve of the ASC+T system so that the cable tie nipple is loosened. Pull the nipple out of the segment.
Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose at the bottom of the intake air hose.
Loosen clamp -4- at intake air hose and remove hose.
Remove bolts -2- and remove pipe.
Remove 4 bolts -1- and remove spacer.
Note: Replace seal -3- if damaged, coat with Vaseline or non-acid grease before installing.
Accelerate with the throttle lever to loosen the throttle linkage nipple, see drawing W-2259. Pull the nipple -2- out of the segment. Pull the throttle cable cover out of the rubber insert of the anti-support -1-.
Loosen the clamps and remove the coolant hoses of the throttle valve heating system at the pipe.
Caution: Some coolant will leak out, prepare a container for draining. Treat coolant as special waste.
Loosen the screws and remove the pipe with the seal. Always replace the seal.
Installation
Attach the pipe with a new seal and tighten the fastening bolts.
Fit coolant hoses and secure with clamps. Top up coolant level.
Hang and adjust the gas draft.
Screw on intermediate piece and throttle body for ASC+T. Don't forget seal -3-, see illustration W-22B3 above. Attach the intake air hose.
Attach ASC+T cable tie. In the initial position, the cable pull must have a gap of 0.5 to 1.0 mm; if necessary, adjust at the counter-support.
Connect and secure both plug connectors.
Read the contents of the fault code memory. After troubleshooting, erase the contents of the drive.
