Replacing both parking brake cables
1. Remove the compartment for small items.
2. Remove the rear brake discs.
3. Remove the exhaust system.
4. Remove the heat-insulating screen.
5. Lock the adjustment device (ASZE).
6. Using tool 321030, press the stop (1) of the adjusting spring so that the retaining hooks (2) snap into the stop (1).
Note: When installing, it is necessary to unlock the adjustment device (ASZE).
7. Using a suitable screwdriver, fold the retaining hooks (2) outwards.
8. Remove the retaining hooks (2) from the stop (1) of the adjusting spring.
9. Release the mounting clamp (1) by moving it upwards from the balancer (2).
10. Using a screwdriver, pull the parking brake cables (1) inward and remove them from the balancer (2).
11. Remove the parking brake cables from the release mechanisms.
12. Loosen the screw and remove the bracket (1).
Tightening torque: 8 Nm.
13. Pull the parking brake cables (2) out of the wheel bearing support.
14. Remove the parking brake cables (1) from the fasteners (2).
15. Pull the parking brake cables (1) out of the guide (3).
16. Pull the parking brake cables (1) out of the guide (4) of the rear axle.
17. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
18. Adjust the parking brake.
