Brake booster check valve (BMW X3 E83)

Removal and installation the brake booster check valve



1. Remove the heater partition.

Attention:
  • If a rubber vacuum hose is installed, it can be replaced separately.
  • If a plastic vacuum hose is installed, it is replaced only together with the check valve.

Note: Before starting work, fully depress the brake pedal several times to reduce the vacuum in the brake booster. This will make it easier to remove the check valve.


2. Open the clamp (1) and disconnect the vacuum hose (2) from the check valve (3).

3. Remove the check valve (3) from the brake booster.

Note:
  • When installing, it is necessary to replace the clamp.
  • Check and replace the O-ring in the brake booster if necessary.

4. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
