DSC system hydraulic unit (BMW X3 E83)

Removal and installation the DSC system hydraulic unit



1. Remove the DSC master cylinder.

Attention:
  • Do not confuse the brake lines; if necessary, mark them before removal.
  • Seal the holes where the pipelines are connected with caps.

  • If necessary, remove the brake lines from the mountings.
  • Prevent deformation of pipelines.


2. Disconnect the connector (1) from the control unit.

3. Disconnect the brake lines (2) and, if necessary, completely remove the lines leading to the brake master cylinder.

Note: When installing, please pay attention to the change in tightening torque.


Tightening torque: 17 Nm.

4. Loosen the screw (3). Carefully remove and take out the hydraulic unit.

Tightening torque: 3 Nm.

5. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.

6. Pump up the brake system.

7. Check that the brake line is connected correctly.

8. Check the operation of the hydraulic unit.

Note: When replacing the control unit, it is necessary to perform coding/programming and perform correction of the steering wheel angle sensor.
