Removal and installation the left or right rear light assembly (cover) (from 09/2006)
Caution: Follow the ESD protection instructions (ESD - Electrostatic Discharge).
1. Remove the valves in the luggage compartment trim.
2. Bend the side trim (1) in the direction indicated by the arrow.
3. Disconnect the connector (2).
4. Unscrew the nuts (3, 5, 6), while holding the threaded studs (4) using a suitable device.
Tightening torque: 4.0±0.5 Nm.
5. Remove the rear light assembly from the wing by moving it outward.
6. Remove the cartridge casing.
Note:
When installing, it is necessary to follow the tightening sequence:
- 1. Tighten the nut (3).
- 2. Tighten the nut (5).
- 3. Tighten the nut (6).
Pay attention to the correct installation of the sealing washers on the studs (4) between the rear light unit and the wing.
Pay attention to the correct position of the sealing frame on the rear light assembly.
Pay attention to the uniformity of the gap (outside) between the rear light unit and the wing.
7. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
