Removal and installation or replacing the thermostat (N 52 K)
Attention:
- Risk of steam burn.
- These works should be performed only on a cold engine.
Attention:
- Collect the leaking coolant in a suitable container and dispose of it.
- Observe the applicable national disposal regulations.
Attention:
- Protect connectors from contamination and coolant.
- Cover the connectors.
1. Drain the coolant.
Note: For clarity, the image and description are shown in a removed state.
2. Loosen the clamp (1).
Tightening torque: 3 Nm.
3. Remove the coolant hose.
4. Loosen the clamp (2).
Tightening torque: 3 Nm.
5. Remove the coolant hose.
6. Unlock and disconnect the cooling system hose (3).
7. Unlock and disconnect the cooling system hose (4).
8. Disconnect the connector (5).
9. Unscrew the bolts (6).
Tightening torque: 9 Nm.
10. Remove the thermostat (7).
11. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
