Removal and installation or replacing the thermostat (N46)
Attention:
- Risk of steam burn.
- These works should be performed only on a cold engine.
1. Unscrew the drain plug for coolant from the radiator.
2. Drain the coolant and send it for disposal.
3. Bleed the cooling system and check it for leaks.

4. Unfasten and disconnect the water hose (1).

5. Remove the screws.
6. Remove the cover with the thermostat by moving it downwards.

Note: The thermostat is built into the cover and can only be replaced as an assembly.
Note:
- When installing, the sealing surfaces must be clean and free of grease.
- Replace the sealing gasket (1).
7. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the above notes.
