Removal and installation or replacing the thermostat (M57TU/M57T2)
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Remove the fan.
3. Remove the EGR radiator.
Attention:
- Collect the coolant in a suitable container and dispose of it.
- Observe the applicable national disposal regulations.
4. Remove the retainer (1).
5. Press the lock (2) and disconnect the coolant hose.
6. Unscrew the screws (3).
7. Carefully remove the thermostat housing, moving it to the side.
Caution: Risk of damage to the cooling system pipe (1).
Note: The thermostat is built into the housing and can only be replaced as an assembly.
Note:
- When installing, it is necessary to clean the sealing surfaces.
- Replace the seal (1).
8. Assemble the engine.
