Removal and installation or replacing the water pump (N52K)
Attention:
- Risk of steam burn.
- Work should only be performed on a cold engine.
Attention:
- Collect the leaking coolant in a suitable container and send it for disposal.
- Observe the applicable national disposal regulations.
Attention:
- If a previously used coolant pump is to be reinstalled, it must be filled with coolant immediately after removal.
- The ratio of water to coolant is 1:1
- Protect connectors from contamination and coolant.
- Cover the connectors.
Attention:
- Alloys of aluminum and magnesium.
- The use of steel bolts is prohibited. Danger of electrochemical corrosion.
- For magnesium housings, use only aluminum bolts.
- After unscrewing, aluminum bolts must be replaced.
- To ensure identification of aluminum bolts, the ends of their heads are painted blue.
- Strictly observe the tightening torque and angle.
