Attention:
- Risk of steam burn.
- These works should be performed only on a cold engine.
Attention:
- Collect the drained coolant and send it for disposal.
- Observe the applicable national disposal regulations.
1. Remove the alternator drive belt. 2. Unscrew the coolant drain plug from the radiator.
3. Drain and dispose of the coolant.
Note:
- The water pump with thermostat and power steering pump can only be removed and installed together.
- The power steering pump remains on the vehicle.

4. Unlock and disconnect the cooling system hoses (1-3).
Note: The power steering pump hoses remain connected.

Note: The water pump is secured to the power steering pump with only two bolts.
5. Align the power steering pump pulley with one of the water pump bolts.
6. Loosen the first bolt between the water pump and the power steering pump approximately one turn.
Tightening torque: 32 Nm.

7. Align the power steering pump pulley with the second water pump bolt.
8. Loosen the second bolt between the water pump and the power steering pump by approximately one turn.
Tightening torque: 32 Nm.

9. Loosen the bolts and remove the power steering pump together with the water pump from the cylinder block.

Note: When installing, you must remove the cover.

Note:
- When installing, the sealing surfaces must be clean and free of grease.
- Replace the profile gasket (1).
