Removal and installation or replacing the water pump (M47 T2/M57 TU/M57 T2)
Caution: When working with oil, fuel, and coolant circuits, protect the generator from contamination.
1. Cover the generator.
2. Remove the cooling system thermostat.
3. Remove the fasteners (1).
4. Remove the water pump (2).
Caution: When performing the following operations, do not damage the sealing surface on the engine block - crankcase.
5. Cut the jumpers (1) of the sealing gasket (2) accordingly.
Caution: Avoid damaging the sealing surface.
6. Cut the jumpers (1) of the sealing gasket (2) with a fine cross-cut chisel (3).
7. Remove the seal.
8. Clean the surface to be sealed.
Note: Before installing a new sealing gasket, first place it on the sealing surface of the crankcase and check that it is seated correctly.
9. Assemble the engine.
10. Bleed the cooling system and check it for leaks.
