Removal and installation the oil pan
1. Secure the engine to the assembly stand.
2. Lower the front axle.
3. Drain the engine oil
4. Unscrew the oil pan mounting bolts from the gearbox side.
5. Unscrew the remaining bolts on the oil pan (1) and remove the oil pan.
Note:
- During installation, it is necessary to clean the sealing surfaces from any remaining sealant.
- Check and replace the sealing gasket if necessary.
- In the area of the joints (1), a layer of Drei Bond 1209 sealant approx. 3 mm and 2 mm high.
Note: To avoid overtightening during subsequent assembly of the gearbox, align the oil pan on the gearbox side flush with its mounting plane.
6. Assemble the engine.
7. Check the engine for leaks.
