Caution! The inflatable air hoses must be dry, clean and free of grease.
Replacement of the charge air cooler (9, see Fig. 6.145) must be carried out in the following order: Remove the front panel of the engine auxiliary units protection and the fan casing with the electric fan.
Release the lock (6, Fig. 6.155) hose (1). Push the charge air hose (1) to the side. Release the retainer (4) and push the charge air hose (3) to the side. Unlock the holder (5) and remove the charge air cooler (2) in the direction indicated by the arrow.
The cooler should be installed in the reverse order. After the cooler has been installed, check the operation of the DME system.
