Attention! All work on replacing the turbocharger should only be carried out on a cold engine. Install charge air hoses dry and absolutely clean, free from oil.
Remove locking cap (1, fig. 6.149) in the direction indicated by the light arrow. Take out the plugs (dark arrows) upward movement.
Unscrew hollow bolt (4, fig. 6.150), collect the leaked oil and send it for recycling. Disconnect the pipeline (2). Loosen clamp (3) and disconnect the return line. Loosen the bolts (1) fixing the TC flange on the cylinder block.
Unscrew the hollow bolt of the oil pipe (1, fig. 6.151). Remove the TC, check its technical condition, if necessary, replace it as an assembly. Clean sealing surfaces.
The installation of the TC should be carried out in the reverse order, while it is necessary to lubricate the threaded part of the TC fastening bolts with a thin layer of copper-containing paste of the type «CRC» and replace seals.
Lay the oil pipeline (1) parallel to the body of the TC. bolts (M10) tighten the fasteners of the TK flange crosswise and gradually, 1/2 turn each, with a final torque of 50 Nm (5.0 kgf·m). Replace O-rings on hollow bolts and tighten to 25 Nm (2.5 kgf·m).
Damaged plugs (3 pcs, see pic. 6.149) are to be replaced. Tighten the pipe and hose clamp bolts to a torque of 6.0 Nm (0.6 kgf·m).
Assemble the engine, the location of the vacuum hoses is shown in fig. 6.152.
