Withdrawal
Disconnect the end of the anti-roll bar from the suspension arm.
Disconnect the suspension arm from the front suspension cross member.
Loosen and unscrew the castle nut securing the ball joint pin of the lever to the steering knuckle.
Push the ball joint pin out of the steering knuckle with puller 31 1 100.
Check the radial clearance of the ball joint pin of the lever, which should be 1.4 mm. If the radial clearance is greater than the specified value, replace the control arm.
Check the condition of the rubber-metal hinge of the lever, which must be replaced in case of breaks and one-sided «buckling» rubber when cutting their end surfaces. Use special tool 31 1 000 to press out and press in the rubber-to-metal joint.
Installation
Installation of the suspension arm is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- every time the lever is removed, replace the self-locking nuts;
- the bolt of fastening the lever to the cross member of the front suspension must be inserted with the head towards the rear of the car.
